Standing with Nipa: kidney cancer treatment costs
Nipa is facing kidney cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Nipa was diagnosed with kidney cancer in March. The oncology team at Dhaka Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Nipa is 58, worked as a bakery worker until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Dhaka Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $600 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $105
• Scans and lab work: $155
• Transport to Dhaka Cancer Centre: $100
• Household costs while unable to work: $240
