Nevaeh was diagnosed with kidney cancer in November. The oncology team at San Diego Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in February. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Nevaeh is 49, worked as a bus conductor until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Diego Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $9,050 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,750 • Scans and lab work: $1,400 • Transport to San Diego Regional Medical Center: $500 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $570 • Household costs while unable to work: $830 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
