Mwende was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in February. The oncology team at Entebbe University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Mwende is 38, worked as a bakery worker until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Entebbe University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $300 goes: • Scans and lab work: $150 • Transport to Entebbe University Hospital: $55 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $95 Thanks for being kind about this.
