Monika was diagnosed with colon cancer in May. The oncology team at Warsaw Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Monika is 37, worked as a bank teller until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Warsaw Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,300
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $230
• Household costs while unable to work: $620
• Scans and lab work: $750
