Melanie was diagnosed with cervical cancer in April. The oncology team at Leeds Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Melanie is 38, worked as a farmer until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Leeds Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $2,450 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $930 • Scans and lab work: $1,000 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $520 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
