Standing with Mark: colon cancer treatment costs
Supporting Mark through colon cancer: medication, transport to the Dasmariñas Oncology Institute, and living costs while He can't work.
🇵🇭 Philippines258 views
Mark was diagnosed with colon cancer in May. The oncology team at the Dasmariñas Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Mark is 42, worked as a bank teller until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Dasmariñas Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $990
• Scans and lab work: $165
• Transport to the Dasmariñas Oncology Institute: $165
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $115
• Household costs while unable to work: $165
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
