Marcos was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in June. The oncology team at Baton Rouge Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Marcos is 31, worked as a bank teller until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Baton Rouge Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $5,900 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,500 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $420 • Transport to Baton Rouge Regional Medical Center: $1,150 • Household costs while unable to work: $830 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
