Standing with Mahmoud: a rare sarcoma treatment costs
Supporting Mahmoud through a rare sarcoma: medication, transport to Zagazig Regional Medical Center, and living costs while He can't work.
🇪🇬 Egypt427 views
Mahmoud was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in August. The oncology team at Zagazig Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Mahmoud is 47, worked as a taxi driver until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Zagazig Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $950 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $125
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $640
• Household costs while unable to work: $115
• Transport to Zagazig Regional Medical Center: $70
Thanks for reading all this.

Take care, Nasser. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. God bless
Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Zagazig
Sending strength, Nasser. Wishing Mahmoud a smooth procedure and a full recovery. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Stay strong, Nasser. Hope this works out for you. We're a small family in Rochester but we're thinking of you. All the best.
hang in there, Nasser. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
Thinking of you. Hope the doctors have good news. Don't give up.
