Standing with Lyudmila: a rare sarcoma treatment costs
Lyudmila is facing a rare sarcoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇷🇺 Moscow, Moscow, Russia628 views
Lyudmila was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in August. The oncology team at Moscow University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Lyudmila is 57, worked as a construction supervisor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Moscow University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $750 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $320
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $90
• Transport to Moscow University Hospital: $340
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best!
Good luck, Milena. I hope things turn around soon. Thinking of Moscow.
So sorry you're going through this. Hope the doctors have good news. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
Thinking of you. Shared it with a few friends. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Thanks for sharing this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Oakland donated after I showed her your page
Sending good thoughts. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings
