Standing with Luis: acute lymphoblastic leukemia treatment costs
Supporting Luis through acute lymphoblastic leukemia: medication, transport to Xalapa Cancer Centre, and living costs while He can't work.
🇲🇽 Mexico877 views
Luis was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in August. The oncology team at Xalapa Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Luis is 48, worked as a nurse until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Xalapa Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Transport to Xalapa Cancer Centre: $160
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $180
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,010
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
