Lucas was diagnosed with prostate cancer in September. The oncology team at San Francisco Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Lucas is 36, worked as a hairdresser until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Francisco Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $5,650 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,250 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,900 • Transport to San Francisco Cancer Centre: $500 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Victoria
