Liton was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in March. The oncology team at the Narayanganj Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Liton is 27, worked as a primary school teacher until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Narayanganj Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,050 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $410 • Scans and lab work: $185 • Transport to the Narayanganj Oncology Institute: $120 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $65 • Household costs while unable to work: $270 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Shahana
