Standing with Leo: prostate cancer treatment costs
8 rounds of treatment are planned at Fresno Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
Anywhere in the world757 views
Leo was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August. The oncology team at Fresno Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Leo is 29, worked as a nurse until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Fresno Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $9,000 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $660
• Transport to Fresno Cancer Centre: $870
• Scans and lab work: $1,200
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,270
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Take care, Delilah. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Fresno
you're not alone, Delilah. Looking forward to the next update
