Standing with Kurniawan: thyroid cancer treatment costs

Kurniawan was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in September. The oncology team at Kediri Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Kurniawan is 49, worked as a bakery worker until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Kediri Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
