Standing with Khalid: cervical cancer treatment costs
Supporting Khalid through cervical cancer: medication, transport to Cairo Cancer Centre, and living costs while He can't work.
Anywhere in the world1,182 views
Khalid was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August. The oncology team at Cairo Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Khalid is 55, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Cairo Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $720
• Household costs while unable to work: $260
• Scans and lab work: $120
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Hang in there. Hope the doctors have good news. Wish I lived closer to Bursa so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
