Standing with Kehinde: acute lymphoblastic leukemia treatment costs
Kehinde is facing acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇳🇬 Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria365 views
Kehinde was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in February. The oncology team at the Badagry Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Kehinde is 28, worked as a construction supervisor until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Badagry Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $800 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $85
• Scans and lab work: $185
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $530
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
