Standing with Joaquín: acute lymphoblastic leukemia treatment costs

Joaquín was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in August. The oncology team at the Arlington Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Joaquín is 27, worked as a shop owner until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Arlington Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $8,650 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,650
• Scans and lab work: $1,650
• Transport to the Arlington Oncology Institute: $950
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $810
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,590

Sure. The biggest one is chemotherapy and medication not covered, $3,650. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for asking.
