Standing with Jigna: colon cancer treatment costs
Supporting Jigna through colon cancer: medication, transport to Mangaluru Regional Medical Center, and living costs while She can't work.
🇮🇳 India1,396 views
Jigna was diagnosed with colon cancer in February. The oncology team at Mangaluru Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Jigna is 42, worked as a bank teller until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mangaluru Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $90
• Household costs while unable to work: $320
• Transport to Mangaluru Regional Medical Center: $95
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,395
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
