Standing with Jenny: thyroid cancer treatment costs
Jenny is facing thyroid cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Jenny was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in August. The oncology team at the Bacolod Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Jenny is 41, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Bacolod Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $450 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $180
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $160
• Transport to the Bacolod Oncology Institute: $110
