Janani was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in July. The oncology team at Hubballi Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Janani is 49, worked as a nurse until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Hubballi Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Scans and lab work: $90
• Transport to Hubballi Cancer Centre: $170

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Janani.
It's all in the list in the story. chemotherapy and medication not covered is the big one at $550, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. I'll keep the page updated.
