Standing with Jackson: multiple myeloma treatment costs
Jackson is facing multiple myeloma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Jackson was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August. The oncology team at the Toronto Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Jackson is 51, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Toronto Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $13,250 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $1,650
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $620
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $9,000
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,980

What exactly is the $13,250 for?
Sure. The biggest one is scans and lab work, $1,650. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Fair thing to want to know.
