Standing with Imad: a rare sarcoma treatment costs
Imad is facing a rare sarcoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇪🇬 Egypt1,571 views
Imad was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in August. The oncology team at the Cairo Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Imad is 50, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Cairo Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $900 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $590
• Transport to the Cairo Oncology Institute: $155
• Household costs while unable to work: $155
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 18 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings
