Standing with Ikenna: a rare sarcoma treatment costs

Ikenna was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in July. The oncology team at the Gwagwalada Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Ikenna is 46, worked as a nurse until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Gwagwalada Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
