Hassan was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in July. The oncology team at the Giza Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Hassan is 36, worked as a hairdresser until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Giza Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
