Maurício was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in March. The oncology team at Guarulhos Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Maurício is 31, worked as a nurse until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Guarulhos Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
