Standing with Harsh: a rare sarcoma treatment costs
Harsh is facing a rare sarcoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇮🇳 India553 views
Harsh was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in August. The oncology team at Nashik Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Harsh is 48, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Nashik Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $870
• Scans and lab work: $230
• Transport to Nashik Regional Medical Center: $65
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $110
• Household costs while unable to work: $225
With deep gratitude,
Priya

Thinking of you. Looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Shared it with a few friends. Greetings from Jakarta!
Best of luck. This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in San Diego this morning.
Hope it all works out. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Nashik.
Wishing you the best, Priya. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'll check back for the next update. All the best
