Faith was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in September. The oncology team at the Kikuyu Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in December. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Faith is 50, worked as a bakery worker until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Kikuyu Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,350 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $160 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $920 • Scans and lab work: $190 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $80 Glad we found this place. - Tabitha
