Standing with Eugene: Hodgkin lymphoma treatment costs
Eugene is facing Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Eugene was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in June. The oncology team at Austin Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Eugene is 41, worked as a tailor until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Austin Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $7,700 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $900
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,750
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,050
