Eleanor was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August. The oncology team at Raleigh University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Eleanor is 27, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Raleigh University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $10,050 goes: • Scans and lab work: $1,200 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $8,500 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $350 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
