Standing with Diego: thyroid cancer treatment costs

Diego was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in January. The oncology team at Campinas Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in April. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Diego is 39, worked as a construction supervisor until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Campinas Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
