Davide was diagnosed with kidney cancer in July. The oncology team at the Rome Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Davide is 35, worked as a bank teller until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Rome Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $7,550 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,000 • Scans and lab work: $880 • Transport to the Rome Oncology Institute: $390 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $390 • Household costs while unable to work: $890 Every share and every dollar helps.
