Cynthia was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in July. The oncology team at Los Angeles Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Cynthia is 39, worked as a construction supervisor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Los Angeles Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $2,350 goes: • Scans and lab work: $870 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $480 • Transport to Los Angeles Cancer Centre: $1,000 Thanks for reading all this.

      • Thanks for sharing this, Santiago. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Amsterdam.
