Chukwuemeka is facing early-stage lung cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Chukwuemeka was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in September. The oncology team at Abuja Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Chukwuemeka is 31, worked as a primary school teacher until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Abuja Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $950 goes: • Transport to Abuja Cancer Centre: $80 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $650 • Household costs while unable to work: $220 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
