Standing with Carol: acute lymphoblastic leukemia treatment costs

Carol was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in August. The oncology team at Newcastle upon Tyne University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Carol is 43, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Newcastle upon Tyne University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
