Standing with Bushra: thyroid cancer treatment costs
Bushra is facing thyroid cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Bushra was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in July. The oncology team at Rawalpindi Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Bushra is 28, worked as a primary school teacher until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Rawalpindi Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $300 goes:
• Transport to Rawalpindi Cancer Centre: $100
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $90
• Scans and lab work: $110
