Standing with Brian: Hodgkin lymphoma treatment costs
8 rounds of treatment are planned at the Embakasi Oncology Institute; we are asking for help with the costs insurance does not cover.

Brian was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in July. The oncology team at the Embakasi Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Brian is 57, worked as a hairdresser until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Embakasi Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $750
• Scans and lab work: $160
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $155
• Transport to the Embakasi Oncology Institute: $135
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Thinking of you and your family, Irene. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Blessings.
