Standing with Bezawit: thyroid cancer treatment costs

Bezawit was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in June. The oncology team at the Adama Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Bezawit is 44, worked as a farmer until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Adama Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
