Standing with Aubree: prostate cancer treatment costs
Supporting Aubree through prostate cancer: medication, transport to the San Diego Oncology Institute, and living costs while She can't work.
🇺🇸 United States590 views
Aubree was diagnosed with prostate cancer in May. The oncology team at the San Diego Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Aubree is 47, worked as a farmer until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the San Diego Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $11,650 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $800
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,150
• Scans and lab work: $930
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,770

You're not alone, Joseph. Hope the doctors have good news. Love from Coatzacoalcos.
What exactly is the $11,650 for?
Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team is $800 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Happy to explain more.
Sending love. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Moscow
Thanks for sharing this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't give up. Blessings.
