Standing with Ariana: early-stage lung cancer treatment costs
Ariana is facing early-stage lung cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇺🇸 Tallahassee, Florida, United States681 views
Ariana was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in August. The oncology team at the Tallahassee Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in December. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Ariana is 40, worked as a construction supervisor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Tallahassee Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $6,300 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,950
• Transport to the Tallahassee Oncology Institute: $950
• Scans and lab work: $1,400
Thanks for reading all this.

Thinking of you and your family, Caleb. I hope things turn around soon.
Rooting for you, Caleb. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Take care.
take care. Wishing Ariana a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I have a 8 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Rooting for you. Hope you get there. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.
