Standing with Anita: cervical cancer treatment costs

Anita is facing cervical cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Aurangabad
Anita was diagnosed with cervical cancer in June. The oncology team at the Aurangabad Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Anita is 30, worked as a taxi driver until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Aurangabad Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,150 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $220 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $820 • Scans and lab work: $110 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
