Angel was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in July. The oncology team at Los Angeles Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Angel is 25, worked as a bakery worker until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Los Angeles Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $3,300 goes: • Transport to Los Angeles Regional Medical Center: $1,050 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $580 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,670 Glad we found this place.
