Andrea was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August. The oncology team at Augsburg Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Andrea is 27, worked as a primary school teacher until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Augsburg Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $2,000 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $340 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,150 • Transport to Augsburg Cancer Centre: $510 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

    • Keep going. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Augsburg

      • Take care, Markus. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Sent it to 36 people at work.
