Standing with Ali: a rare sarcoma treatment costs
Supporting Ali through a rare sarcoma: medication, transport to the Mecca Oncology Institute, and living costs while He can't work.
🇸🇦 Makkah, Saudi Arabia767 views
Ali was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in April. The oncology team at the Mecca Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Ali is 33, worked as a nurse until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Mecca Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $6,500 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $220
• Scans and lab work: $1,050
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,230
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Thinking of you, Jamila. This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings
