Aishwarya is facing acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Aishwarya was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in February. The oncology team at the Mumbai Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Aishwarya is 39, worked as a tailor until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Mumbai Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $540
• Scans and lab work: $240
• Transport to the Mumbai Oncology Institute: $95
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $65
• Household costs while unable to work: $260

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. chemotherapy and medication not covered comes first ($540) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Appreciate you taking the time.
