Adeline was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in June. The oncology team at San Francisco University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Adeline is 52, worked as a bakery worker until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Francisco University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $6,900 goes: • Scans and lab work: $1,900 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,550 • Transport to San Francisco University Hospital: $450 Glad we found this place.
