Standing with Aaliyah: kidney cancer treatment costs

Aaliyah was diagnosed with kidney cancer in January. The oncology team at the Edinburgh Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Aaliyah is 28, worked as a taxi driver until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Edinburgh Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
