Deepa was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in July. The surgeon at Indore Regional Medical Center recommended spinal decompression surgery, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $270, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $200 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Indore Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without spinal decompression surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $270 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Deepa struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Deepa won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
