Aaron was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in February. The surgeon at Adelaide Regional Medical Center recommended spinal decompression surgery, and He is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,750, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $3,000 short. my brother has been in and out of Adelaide Regional Medical Center since February. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without spinal decompression surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,750 is more than we can find. While we wait, Aaron struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Aaron won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $3,000 goes: • Post-operative medication: $390 • Hospital stay (3 nights): $2,250 • Travel and lodging for the family: $360 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Cynthia
