Sotiris was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in April. The surgeon at Patras University Hospital recommended spinal decompression surgery, and He is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,900, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $2,300 short.
my brother has been in and out of Patras University Hospital since April. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without spinal decompression surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,900 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Sotiris struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Sotiris won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.

Post-operative medication is $145 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. I'll keep the page updated.
