Sofía needs display cabinets and a cooler to reopen a flower stall
A flower stall in Oakland needs help replacing display cabinets and a cooler after a fire in the building.
🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States1,653 views
For three years I have run a flower stall in Oakland. In November, a fire in the building took display cabinets and a cooler. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $280
• Initial stock: seasonal flowers: $620
• Replacing display cabinets and a cooler: $1,550
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Rooting for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Alexandria so I could bring a meal!
Wishing you the best, Sofía. Hope the shop reopens soon. Put this on a community board in Aurangabad this morning. Thinking of Oakland
Thinking of you. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings
